Dr. Cobb Receives ABBM Certification
Andover physician dedicated to helping patients lose weight and improve health earns national board certification
Professional certification in Bariatric medicine distinguishes physicians from their peers; ensures highest standards of care
TAMPA, Fla. – What distinguishes one physician from his or her peers often comes in the form of professional certification. For those with a specialized practice in bariatric medicine, the American Board of Bariatric Medicine (ABBM) ensures those who it certifies follow the highest standards of care for medical management of obesity.
Dr. Jeannine Cobb, medical director of Medi-Weightloss Clinics® in Andover, recently passed the “grueling” standards required to become a fully-certified ABBM physician. She is one of only 400 physicians who have completed the certification process and are certified Diplomates of the ABBM. After passing a comprehensive written exam, physicians also must pass a board inspection and board approval before earning the status of ABBM Diplomate.
Dr. Cobb graduated from medical school at the University of Kansas – Wichita, before an OB/GYN residency at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. After years of operating a successful OB/GYN practice, she took a particular interest in helping patients lose weight and opened Medi-Weightloss Clinics® in Andover to offer her patients a physician-supervised weight-loss program. Dr. Cobb lost over 100 pounds with the Medi-Weightloss Clinics® program. For more on her remarkable life changing weight loss view her testimonial video at youtube.com/mediweightloss.
