What is this?
You can calculate both your Body Mass Index and Basal Metabolic Rate by filling in the short form at left.
Your Body Mass Index, or BMI, is a statistical measure which compares a person's weight and height. Though it does not actually measure the percentage of body fat, it is used to estimate a healthy body weight based on a person's height.
Your Basal Metabolic Rate, or BMR, is the number of calories that your body requires per day in a resting state. It can vary from person to person and depends on your eating habits, body composition, and activity level.
