Bonnie's Weight Loss Story
I've spent most of my life wanting to lose weight and become a healthier person. I tried numerous diets and joined several support groups over the years, but ultimately failed to take the weight off. I was miserable, my knees hurt and as I was about to turn 54, I realized that it was time for me to make a real change. The 5 main reasons for me to lose were my beautiful grandchildren; Emily, Olivia, Julia, Evan, and Nate. I wanted to set a good example and be around to enjoy them for many years to come.
I'd already proven that I couldn't do it by myself, so I joined Medi-Weightloss Clinics®. With the doctor's advice, I followed their high protein, low calorie, low carb, healthy diet. I wrote down everything I ate, learned to drink lots of water, followed the Dr.'s advice of which foods were okay for me to eat, committed and stuck to an exercise routine, and basically made a complete lifestyle change! I felt better and better as the weeks went on, and found that the way I felt as I lost the weight, far outweighed the so-called joy I used to get from eating!
I appreciated the positive reinforcement I received from my friends and family, and I loved seeing the joy on my grandchildren's faces when they realized I could actually keep up with them! All of this kept me going towards my goal and made me realize how good life can be without a weight problem!
I lost a total of 75 pounds † and have kept it off for over a year and a half! I intend to keep it off for the rest of my life because I don't ever want to go back to the way I was before I found Medi-Weightloss Clinics®. I want to thank my husband, Randy, for his love and support and for changing his lifestyle right along with me. He also lost an impressive 80 pounds. † It's wonderful being healthy and it feels so good to be in control of my life!
