I saw my sister's success with Medi-Weightloss Clinics® and was inspired to give it a try. I had put on about 10-15 pounds in the last year and decided that my upcoming wedding was good motivation to do something about it. I had never really dieted before, so I was apprehensive going into Medi-Weightloss Clinics® for my first appointment. Dr. Adkins and Gail from the Brentwood, Tennessee, clinic were very understanding and nice. They took a lot of time to explain the program to me and answer my questions. I felt completely prepared leaving the clinic after the Initial Consultation.
I wouldn't say the first week on the program is easy, but it's definitely not hard. All it requires is planning. I purchased deli turkey breast and portioned it out into individual servings; same thing with chicken breasts. At dinnertime, I would just take out a baggie of chicken and cook it on the Foreman Grill with salt and pepper. Occasionally, I marinated the chicken (or sometimes filet mignon) in mustard or vinegar-based barbecue sauce. After the first week, fruits and vegetables seem like a real luxury, and I was surprised how much I enjoyed finding ways to add them to my diet.
The weight kept falling off. The first week I lost 7.8 pounds. † I had more energy, my skin felt and looked better, and I was happier than I had been in years! I loved the Medi-Weightloss Clinics® experience from start to finish and learned some great habits and tips to keep me eating healthier for the future. In 2½ months, I lost 32 pounds † and went from a size 10 to a size 2. I far exceeded my original goal without even really trying, and I felt absolutely great in my wedding dress!
