Howard Riker, DO
Dr. Riker joined the Medi-Weightloss Clinics® team following his recent retirement from Federal Service as Chief of the Medical Staff, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Formerly a Board Certified Family Physician and member of the AAFP in private practice for 11 years, Dr. Riker left the private sector in 1991, entering the United States Air Force Medical Corps. He retired as a Colonel in 2000. During that time, he served as Chief of Family Medicine, Flight Surgeon, and functioned in various executive leadership roles. As both Family Physician and Flight Surgeon, Dr. Riker was responsible for the health and well-being of a large Active Duty military population, with very strict guidelines regarding weight management and weight control. Dr. Riker received his medical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Family Practice training at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital. He is currently a member of the Air Force Military Officer's Association, AOA, the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
Dr. Edward Zbella
Dr. Zbella is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Zbella has published numerous scientific articles in major medical journals, and has served as a reviewer for journals related to gynecology and infertility. He has written chapters in several medical text books, and has lectured nationally at numerous meetings and seminars. Dr. Zbella continues to participate in clinical research with major pharmaceutical companies.
