Dr. Dan and JoAnne Kort are pleased to present the Medi-Weightloss program to Salem and Lincoln City, Oregon.
Dr. Kort, a board-certified Obstetrician Gynecologist, has practiced medicine on the Oregon coast since 1992, maintaining staff privileges at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital.
Dr. Kort received his medical degree in 1987 from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He also completed his Masters Degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University in 1987.
From Loma Linda University he went on to complete a four year residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1996 Dr. Kort was Board-certified as a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
JoAnne Kort is a Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse-Midwife, and has been practicing in Oregon for 10 years. She is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians as well as a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
Mrs. Kort received her Masters in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and her degree in Nurse-Midwifery at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Kentucky. With her Masters Degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University in California emphasizing Health Education, she has had a long standing interest in wellness and disease prevention. She has been the Director of Education for Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. While there she taught cooking and smoking cessation classes.
She now brings her passion for teaching health to her present position at Medi-Weightloss Clinics® and Spa.
In 2007 Dr. Kort and his wife JoAnne opened a medically directed weight-loss clinic and spa in Salem, Oregon. This clinic utilizes the most up to date information and their goals are to not only help patients lead healthier and richer lives but also to help them improve their overall appearance and self-image.
