Joseph Horan, M.D.
Joseph Horan, MD FAAFP graduated with honors from St. Francis Xavier University, and then went on to graduate from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with his degree.
He completed a Family Practice Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He has been practicing family medicine in Foxboro, Massachusetts for 20 years and has worked with a wide variety of patients in helping them lose weight and improve their health. Over the last few years, had an increasing interest in health and fitness as it relates to wellness and the treatment and prevention of chronic disease. He maintains a busy family medicine practice in Foxboro, where he also precepts third year medical students as a clinical faculty member of Boston University School of Medicine.
Laura Brand, PA-C
Laura R. Brand, MHP, PA-C graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Public Health Education and then went on to complete her master's degree in Health Professions, where she obtained her certification as a physician assistant.
Ms. Brand has over nine years of clinical experience in the areas of emergency medicine and primary care. In addition to her clinical experience, she also brings with her over four years' teaching experience as an assistant professor and Director of Experiential Learning in a Boston-based physician assistant program.
Ms. Brand believes that education is paramount in the prevention and management of any chronic condition, including obesity. She is personally committed to working with and educating patients on weight loss, particularly as it relates to their overall personal well-being. She would like to positively impact the lives of her patients by helping them learn to practice healthy lifestyles so that they can achieve and maintain their optimal health.
