Dr. Kenneth Mitchell
Dr. Mitchell attended college at Harding University in Arkansas. He received his medical degree from University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1981, and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University in 1985. He is currently a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and is eagerly working toward certification by that board.
Dr. Mitchell has an ongoing interest in pelvic floor surgery and participates regularly in medical mission work in Guatemala.
On December 31, 2007 Dr. Mitchell retired from his practice of OB/GYN, and today his practice is limited to Bariatric Medicine through Medi-Weightloss Clinics®. Dr. Mitchell is confident that he is fulfilling the call of medicine in the promotion of health with lifestyle change.
