Dr. Thomas Egan, M.D., F.A.C.C. is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. He completed medical school at the State University of New York, with residencies in internal medicine at University of Massachusetts and Albany Medical College and cardiology fellowship at Harvard Medical School Hospitals. Dr. Egan practiced clinical consultative cardiology in Massachusetts specializing in coronary artery disease, hypertension, congestive heart failure, diabetes and vascular disease both in hospital and outpatient settings. Dr. Egan has long been focused for many years in disease prevention and improving good health of his patients.
Kristeen Hillier, N.P. received her bachelors degree in nursing from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI in 1995. She completed her master of science degree in nursing in 2001 from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. She spent the majority of her nursing career working at Massachusetts General Hospital in cardiopulmonary medicine and high risk obstetrics/gynecology. Since becoming a nurse practitioner in 2001, she has worked with the adolescent and adult populations in primary care and wellness. She has lived in the Charleston area with her husband and two children since 2005.
Caroline Price Ayers, R.D. grew up in Charleston and left the Low Country for the Plains of Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University with degrees in Nutrition and Health Promotions. After graduation, she attended the University of Tennessee where she received a Masters degree in Nutrition and a Masters degree in Public Health. Once completing her masters, she relocated back to Charleston to receive her Registered Dietitians certification. She started working with Medi in December 2009.
Lori Van Mater is a Certified Nutrition Counselor and Pilates Instructor. She decided to become a nutrition conselor to fulfill her passion of working with people to improve their health and quality of life. Lori received her training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City and is certified through Teachers College Columbia University. Lori joined Medi in June 2010.
