Thomas Mead, MD
Dr. Thomas Mead grew up near Buffalo, New York and attended The State University of New York at Buffalo for medical school. He moved to Richmond in 2003. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. While in college in Albany, New York, he competed in the pole vault and the decathlon. He learned the importance of exercise and conditioning as well as a healthy diet. In medical school he participated in the "Heart Smart" program, teaching school children the importance of eating healthy and maintaining an active lifestyle to prevent heart disease.
In his OB/GYN practice Dr. Mead stresses the importance of weight control throughout a woman's life, from adolescence to adulthood and pregnancy, and into menopause. At Medi-Weightloss® he is able to help both men and women accomplish this goal.
Danny Shaban, M.D.
Dr. Danny Shaban was born and raised in Virginia. He is a board certified OB/GYN and the founder of Dominion Women's Health. He is also a member of the Board of Bariatric Physicians. He strives to provide his patients with a safe and healthy option to not only lose weight, but to learn the habits needed to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. In his free time Dr Shaban enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his wife and his three young children.
Patricia Bell, FNP-BC
Trish brings 18 years’ experience in family practice and rheumatology to her role at Medi-Weightloss®. Born and raised in Williamsburg, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University as a family nurse practitioner. Her experience in rheumatology opened her eyes to the necessity of weight management in the treatment of arthritis and immunologic disorders. Trish maintains a healthy lifestyle by teaching and participating in fitness activities. She also enjoys relaxing, traveling, and reading.
