Thomas Mead, MD
Dr. Thomas Mead grew up near Buffalo, New York and attended The State University of New York at Buffalo for medical school. He moved to Richmond in 2003. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. While in college in Albany, New York, he competed in the pole vault and the decathlon. He learned the importance of exercise and conditioning as well as a healthy diet. In medical school he participated in the "Heart Smart" program, teaching school children the importance of eating healthy and maintaining an active lifestyle to prevent heart disease.
In his OB/GYN practice Dr. Mead stresses the importance of weight control throughout a woman's life, from adolescence to adulthood and pregnancy, and into menopause. At Medi-Weightloss Clinics® he is able to help both men and women accomplish this goal.
Danny Shaban, M.D.
Dr. Danny Shaban was born and raised in Virginia. He is a board certified OB/GYN and the founder of Dominion Women's Health. He is also a member of the Board of Bariatric Physicians. He strives to provide his patients with a safe and healthy option to not only lose weight, but to learn the habits needed to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. In his free time Dr Shaban enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his wife and his three young children.
Nicole Bentivegna, WHNP-BC
Nicole received her Master's Degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a board certified women's health nurse practitioner. She joins the clinic with experience in obstetrics and gynecology as well as general medical care for women of all ages. Her special interests in healthy living and exercise, as well as her personal struggle with weight, are what brought Nicole to seek her new role with Medi-Weightloss Clinics®. Nicole enjoys traveling as well as spending time with her husband and two small children here in Richmond.
Carley Lovell, WHNP
Carley holds a master’s degree in women’s health from Virginia Commonwealth University as well as one in psychology from New York University. She is a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner. She understands the impact that weight gain can have on self-esteem and self-image through personal struggles and strives to help others overcome the challenges. She brings counseling experience and a passion for helping others to Medi-Weightloss Clinics®.
